Targeted Outputs of Day 1

  • Gather community input on the overall direction of IGF 2026 and programme priorities.
  • Discuss strategic priorities for IGF 2026, including in the context of WSIS+20, implementation of the Global Digital Compact, Global Dialogue on AI Governance and other major governance processes.
  • Identify considerations to inform subsequent MAG discussions on programme development.

Participants wishing to attend the IGF 2026 First Open Consultations and MAG Meeting, taking place 24-26 June 2026 at the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON), Kenya & Online, are kindly requested to register in advance through the official registration platform (INDICO). Both onsite and fully online participants must use this platform.

For those participating onsite, once the registration request has been approved, you can collect your badge to access UNON at the Pass & ID Unit (next to the Visitors Pavilion) at the main entrance, located directly across from the U.S. Embassy on United Nations Avenue. Collection hours on the meeting days are 8.00 - 16.00 EAT. Please bring your valid official Passport / ID document issued by a UN member state.

The meeting takes place at UNON from Wednesday 24 June to Friday 26 June according to the following standard hours on each day: Morning session, 9.30 - 12.30 EAT | Lunch break, 12.30 - 14.00 EAT | Afternoon session, 14.00 - 17.00 EAT (*Friday afternoon session may adjourn earlier)
