    SDGs

    Description:

The impact of ChatGPT on the global AI landscape has been significant, mobilizing industry, policy, and academia worldwide. With over 5 billion internet users, the rapid proliferation of AI applications like AIGC has brought about a new era of productivity, but also unprecedented risks and challenges. Despite achieving technological interconnection through the TCP/IP protocol, global network governance remains fragmented, lacking a robust and efficient global mechanism. The full-scale integration of AI technology into society has introduced a new challenge of technology and governance fragmentation. It is essential to ensure the global interconnection of AI technology and governance systems while preventing its misuse to ensure the survival and development of humanity.

    Expected Outcomes

The objective of this workshop is to thoroughly examine the current status of AI governance and to explore a collective vision for global AI governance that can serve as a foundation for interconnection efforts. This may involve identifying common values and principles that can guide the development and implementation of AI governance mechanisms.

Moreover, the workshop aims to evaluate the communication channels between governments and other stakeholders and promote greater transparency and accountability in the development and deployment of AI. Participants will have the opportunity to discuss strategies for implementing the interconnection of global AI governance mechanisms.
