Carter, Jordan

Jordan joined Nominet , the .UK ccTLD, in April 2026. As Head of Public Affairs his main focus is to lead the company’s work in a range of areas including with government and international stakeholders. He is active in the ICANN and IGF communities, including through roles on the Council of the ccNSO at ICANN, and as a member of the Internet Governance Forum’s Multi-stakeholder Advisory Group.

His previous role was with auDA, which he joined in 2022 to lead on internet governance and public policy, working with an excellent team to strengthen the underpinning governance of the Internet and engage the local Internet community. 
Earlier in his career, Jordan was Chief Executive of InternetNZ | Ipurangi Aotearoa, leading the organisation that is all about helping New Zealanders harness the power of the Internet for good. 

Having worked in the domain name industry for over twenty years, and on Internet governance throughout that time, Jordan is a recognised expert on the issues raised by the Internet, in terms of policy, regulation, social impact and so on - and the connections of these issues with wider political economy, economic development and globalisation concerns and trends. 
Jordan is a leader of teams, strategist in terms of organisational development and achieving policy outcomes, and experienced at working with and for Boards.
